The Most Detailed Star Wars Action Figures You Will Ever See

Here we are revisiting Star Wars again. The famed franchise has come a long way since its 1977 debut as simply – wait for it – Star Wars, by a director previously only known for two films: American Graffiti and THX-1138.

For those of you who like your figures faithful to the movies, these are the connoisseur picks for Star Wars figures. Each of them are detailed and masterfully rendered, so realistic they look like they could come to life and start calling out from a hologram “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope!”

Star Wars HT902490 Hot Toys Princess Leia 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure

Princess Leia could have been another Zelda or Pincess Toadstoll, a perpetual damsel in distress who existed for no other reason than to move the plot forward. But the late Carrie Fisher (we still can’t believe she’s gone) gave the character much bigger chops than that, making her the most fiery Rebel Commander this side of the Kessel Run.

Movie Masterpiece Star Wars The Force Awakens Luke Skywalker 1/6 Scale Figure

At last we get the figure to celebrate the huge role that Mark Hamill played in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He practically carried the whole movie, after all, which was all about him. Well, in the last minute anyway, but what a reveal! Look at him: Can anyone doubt that here he is at last truly a Jedi?

Star Wars Boba Fett 1/6 Scale Figure Episode VI Return of the Jedi Hot Toys

We have to confess with The Fett: We don’t get it. He barely has a role at all, first introduced in the animated segment from the unfairly maligned 1978 TV show The Star Wars Holiday Special, and there having the most lines he’s ever spoken. Why is he this popular? It must be the suit. That predatory helmet. The figure bristling with weapons. He just sweats cool.

Star Wars Movie Masterpiece – 1/6 Scale Fully Poseable Figure The Force Awakens – Rey & BB-8 Set

Proof positive that the Star Wars universe could introduce new characters in the third trilogy and have them stick, Rey, as a fascinating character played by Daisy Ridley, gave a new kind of female role to the franchise. The scrappy scavenger who can look after herself and is beholden to no one, she’s even better with her sidekick droid BB-8, which is capable of a lot of acting for a ball wearing a Rumba.

Hot Toys Star Wars Rogue One A Star Wars Story Death Trooper (Specialist) 1/6 Scale Figure

Remember, that’s Death Trooper, not Stormtrooper! These guys can actually aim sometimes. And they’re from Rogue One, the spin-off anthology that finally breathed some fresh air into the Star Wars universe, by making it not always have to be about Luke and Vader. Maybe not the most substantial entry, but every spin-off has to start somewhere.

Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Star Wars Force Awakens Chewbacca 1/6 Scale Action Figure

OK, the whole list of figures we’re presenting here are all in exquisite detail, but Chewy here gets special attention. It’s tough to represent furry characters well in figure form, but this figure pulls it off so realistically we swear we just saw it blink. Incidentally, does anybody else notice that this is the only major character in the Star Wars universe besides the drones to, you know, not wear pants?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Kylo Ren 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Kylo Ren, introduced in the first installment of the third trilogy The Force Awakens, was the perfect new villain for the new Millennium Star Wars. While he has some of Darth Vader’s intimidating presence and callow ruthlessness, he’s also smarter, more humanized, and quicker on his feet. Memorably brought to life by Adam Driver, he keeps it all in the family – small universe!

Hot Toys Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope Luke Skywalker Sixth Scale Action Figure

Well, what can you say about Luke that hasn’t been said already? He’s the big cheese of the whole dang franchise, the little farm kid from Tatooine who could. We have never seen the figure that could capture Luke Skywalker quite like this one. That is a hero’s pose, a protagonist’s gaze, and the iconic outfit the franchise will always remember as his first form.
